What hypnotherapy
actually is.
Hypnosis does for the mind what massage does for the body. You do not give up control — you gain it. Here are the four myths that keep high-performers from the work that would resolve their pattern, and the clients DTT™ is built for.
Myths & Reality
The truth about clinical hypnotherapy.
Four common misconceptions — and the clinical reality behind each. Understanding these is the first step toward meaningful change.

Reality
A certified hypnotherapist's treatment is only as strong as the client's allowability. Think of it like this: hypnosis does for the mind what massage does for the body. If at any point a suggestion felt wrong, you would sit bolt upright. We call this 'abreaction' — and it ends the state instantly.
Reality
A client cannot give up free will in hypnosis any more than when asleep. You actually use your free will to enter the state. When someone quits smoking through hypnotherapy after failing on their own, that is gaining enormous self-control and personal power — not losing it.
Reality
Can you go to sleep against your wishes? Or have a massage against your wishes? Hypnosis is the same 'alpha' state of heightened concentration and focus — one most of us experience quite often. Your participation is required throughout.
Reality
The vast majority remember everything the therapist says. Sometimes there is a delayed reaction — the real beauty of hypnosis is in the distillation process that occurs within the subconscious. We plant seeds, and they begin to sprout and grow after treatment.

Frequently Asked
Questions.
The most common questions about clinical hypnotherapy and the DTT™ method — answered directly.
Yes. Clinical hypnotherapy is recognized by the American Medical Association and the American Psychological Association. You remain fully aware and in control throughout every session. You cannot be made to do anything against your will.
No. This is the most common misconception. Hypnosis is a state of focused attention — not unconsciousness. You choose what to share, and you can open your eyes or end the session at any time.
Traditional therapy manages symptoms at the conscious level. DTT™ integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with Clinical Behavioral Hypnotherapy to resolve the root pattern in the subconscious — where the behavior actually lives. Resolution over management.
